RecyclingSymbolGreen  Recycling at the MGS

Our campaigns are going on:

Do you remember? When Don and Mylene had come to the MGS, bringing all this ‘junk’, piling it up in front of us and teaching us how to sort it out? The subject was „Environment and Recycling” in June and once more at the Breakfast Meeting in September last year – and they made us start our monthly recycling campaigns.

For almost a year now, once a month on a fixed date our members and supporters can bring their recyclable goods to the MGS premises. The drop off time is 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Coming campaigns in 2008:

  • 05.12.2008

What we recycle: We divide 8 groups of material: 3 types of paper (newspaper, cardboard, mixed paper), glass, clear plastic and coloured plastic, tins, and cans. For a detailed list and further explanation please check out www.GreenCrusaders.com.

What we recycled so far: In our first 9 recycling campaigns we collected in total 2250 kg of recyclable materials. All that was worth RM 637.-.  Paper and cardboard alone made up more than half of the weight.

Thank you everyone who brought their recycling goods or helped on the recycling days. Please keep on supporting our project by:

Delivering your precious “waste”, well cleaned and sorted to the MGS on our recycling days

  • Helping as a volunteer for one morning with collecting, tying and sorting, and later with recording the weight of the goods
  • Following our campaigns interested and keeping updated
  • And last but not least: by generating less waste.
